Why we pour Del Capo at -20 °C

There's a rule in Calabria nobody argues with: Vecchio Amaro del Capo is at its best poured freezer-cold, from -20 °C. It isn't a marketing gimmick — that's the temperature at which the 29 herbs, spices and citrus fruits pull together into the dense Mediterranean character that made Del Capo the number one amaro in Italy, with a market share above 38%.

The category isn't slowing down either: bitters grew 42% in value worldwide between 2020 and 2024. Guests increasingly look for authentic, herbal drinks with a story behind them — and after the aperitivo wave, the digestivo is the next one coming.

In practice it means this: one slot in the freezer, one ice-cold bottle, and a shot after dinner. Capo that moment. We're happy to show your team in person — you can request a tasting on the Trade page.
